Nope, not from my side at least. All we're really missing is the CG shots, and that's not my job. It's all up to Scooter now.

I need to add a deflector dish and then it's texturing time. I really should get to work on that.

I'm having trouble getting textures on the model. I might have to turn this over to Dogbert.

Dogbert is helping me with texturing.

I can't get it any better than that. Had to push the saucer further into the ship to make it look this good. It's no where near as good as the schematics, but I just don't have the skills to make it better.

It was a weird ship to begin with, I mean come on... Vanhal made it Na na!

Texturing is a pain in the arse, so I decided to model the windows. Should make it easy to refit the ship for mission 2. So finally after WAY too much waiting, I proudly present the completed 10to5.

As soon as everyone is satisfied, Dogbert can get started on animation.

*sigh* What ever!

Might have looked better if the 10to5 name didnt go all the way round but hey, still looks v nice.

I always wondered how the ship even managed to stand the forces with its big vertical thing to go right against all the stuff.

Ok so now Sporto needs to explain to Dogbert how he wants the animations to work.

Shot 1: Shot of camera panning around an empty star field (camera panning right), then stops as it sees the 10to5 flying towards the camera at SLOW impulse. As soon as the camera sees the 10to5, the camera stops moving and Vanhal starts talking, and the shot continues until the 10to5 passes the camera to the left. (Vanhal talks for 56 seconds, so it's going to be a pain to fill up that space, so you may have to make this shot rather long, but no more than 10 seconds should be devoted to seeing the 10to5 moving. Say 5 seconds of panning through space and about 10 watching the 10to5 fly. I'll figure out how to fill up the rest of the time.)

Shot 2: Outside view of 10to5 going to warp. Do the classic rear view that's always in the shows. If you know how, do the fancy bank and go to warp but if you can't or don't want to, a simple straight line warp shot is ok. BTW, if you can't do the flash of the ship entering warp, don't worry about it. I might be able to do that myself later, assuming I've figured out the bluescreen features. Na na!

Shot 3: Camera switch to outside view of the 10to5 at warp, with camera rotating around ship slightly and slowly, like in the TV series. (3-5 seconds)

Shot 4: Switch to outside view of 10to5 coming out of warp and approaching a planet. Planet should match the planet level in EF that we shot in (EF training level), so use a red one? (You can find planets on the internet BTW, just look around).

Shot 4: Outside shot of the 10to5 breaking orbit and going to warp. (Shots like this in every other Trek episode so I shouldn't have to explain it any further. Wink

Extra Shots: Just some stock footage of the 10to5 flying by the camera, some at warp and some at impulse. This footage is stock and can be reused many times, like the stock footage from the shows.

hmmm, erm don't get your hopes up because i'm not to sure how this whole animation stuff works. Plus, I'm going to be absolutely bushed for the rest of the week getting a large assignment for English 11 finished. On top of that i have to do a project for Socials 11 on World War I... more specifically the U.S. involvement in the war from April 6, 1917 to like november of 1918 or something like that. reason why i'm doing american stuff is that i was sick on the day that the "numbered topics" got picked/chosen or something like that so i had to choose from the leftovers. A U.S. Project isn't that bad. Anyway! enough about my crammed week, i'll see what i can do with it that is if you still want me to do it next week. If you want it done before christmas or sometime very soon (like this week or early next week) then i would suggest Phil?

LOL, my hopes haven't been that high in a while, though it still exists. Since you're the only one willing to do it, your the CG guy. If we have to wait a long time, so be it, not like there's a rush or anything. Wink

We've been waiting this long, a bit longer won't make a difference. For the next mission I'll have the model ready before filming starts (hopefully) so it won't take as long (hopefully).

Not sure if anybody cares about an update on how my school stuff is going but here's the scoop. English Assignment is 100% done (due for tommorow instead of Friday which i thought it was for). Socials U.S. Project is 39.08333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333...% done (you get the idea) and it is due for Friday so tommorow i'll be working on that and most likely Chemistry homework which i am predicting will get assigned. Na na! What ever!

*Dogbert on his Dynamite-2 computer out* Na na!

Well you see everything is quite complicated. And there are many variables to account for and i don't think it's even possible for my brain to comprehend it all. I've already got Physics and Chemistry and P Math equations and formulae stuck up in my rusty brain already. In short find another guy. Na na! Whoever did that ERP Promo perhaps, that is if he's not busy. or maybe he can build us a better 10to5. LOL!

Looks like there's at least three possible animators on ERP forums. Maybe one or more of them could do it?

No, he dissapeared for a while saying he didn't want to do anything because a family member died or something like that. He told me recently that he was ready to work on things again but by that time I had forgotten about this.

We need animations still. I haven't seen Carley in ages.

Over at Destiny's Wind we have some pretty uber modellers. I don't know if any of them can animate, but I could find out.
