Any of you ever heard of micronations? They're sort of like a simulation country, with governments and stuff.

My micronation is the Barony of Treesia and Fabon. I am the Baron of, in my opinion, one of the more fun and enjoyable micronations around. This is a medieval micronation, so it mightn't be all your cup of tea. But check it out if you're interested...[/url]

Almost exactly what you do here, except instead of phasers and hyposprays, you have blood-encrusted swords and corkscrews (Ah, the sound of a screaming patient in the morning...)

Well, it's set on a different plane of existence, and the present year there is 2186 in the Age of New Destiny....

About the Dark Ages/Early Middle Ages...

but why does it have to have that year, why not the the time of the real dark ages/early middle ages, in that plane of existence

Because it's only that type of micronation, it's not set in that time. So, for example, this is the time, on that plane of existence (Tirlar), that the world was experiencing middle ages...
