Was she a Trill? Just wondering, because of the markings on her neck.

Ah, I wasn't allowed to see the end, thanks to my Friends-obsessed little sister...

She sure did look like a Trill though. Judging from her dog, Archer should have known...

Captain Archer is from Quantum Leap. At first they were worried people would still think of him as the guy from Quantum Leap instead of the captain of the Enterprise, but it turned out ok.

the name of the person on that episode was Dean Stockwell (Al), I know Scott Bakula (Captain Archer) is on enterprise (main character)

Hehe, there's an episode of Voyager on the BBC, where the Doctor made a holoprogram, and Paris altered it, hehe.

I haven't, but how is that meant to be a spoiler?

Hmm, will there ever be an appearance of a young Kirk, or how much earlier is Enterprise than Star Trek?

Ok, would have been cool if he was. He'd probably try to hit on T'Pol.

Or she'd invent the Vulcan Death Grip solely to use it on him.

I read an article that said that they might do an episode with the TNG crew going back in time. But IF they do, it would be in later seasons.

Plus, she already used the grip in the Ferengi episode.

The Grip isn't real, though. Spock invented it to bargain their way into somewhere.

When were the Ferengi in Enterprise?

You didn't see that one?

*SPOILER*

It was the episode when the Ferengi gased the ship and knocked everyone out except Trip cause he was in the decon chamber. They came aboard and started stealing things from the ship, until Trip, Archer, and T'pol trapped them. She used the neck pinch on the last Ferengi when he told her to stroke his ears.

But weren't the Ferengi only discovered in TNG?

Ah, the ferengi episode. Really good. But I remember in an early TNG that they had to negotiate or something with the ferengi. They knew very little of them, so if they dont encounter them again in ENTERPRISE, then it should follow the flow properly.

I guess they were a race of ferengi that broke off from the main culture (enterprise)

How can that happen? It's not like what happened with the Vulcan's splitting off to become Romulans. They were the same ferengi.

I think they probably split up to look for something, not split from the culture altogether. Na na!

I think they were all the same culture. At the end, Archer said that if they ever came close to a Federation ship again, they "won't know what hit them". So they probably don't see them again for a long time.

BTW, I looked for that article but I can't find it. I only remember that it was on startrek.com

The reason they never heard of the ferengi before TNG because the writers were careful enough not to use the word Ferengi at all in that entire episode Na na! Archer asked who they were and they said it didn't matter who they were.

Also, the Vulcan Death Grip isn't real, Spock made it up, but the Vulcan NERVE PINCH is real (in the ST universe that is Wink ) and that's what you guys are talking about.

What's the difference between the death grip and the nerve pinch?

the death grip kills
the nerve pinch just knocks the person unconscious

And the death grip is "made up (fake)" in the Star Trek Universe.
