I think it was about an hour ago that I promised death to the hazard uniforms. Here it is in all its glory:
http://www.vmb-ca.com/eliteforce/hazsucks.zip

Yes, you read the filename correctly. I think the hazard uniforms suck. I wanted to see the hazard team in their regular uniforms. A few months ago I stumbled across Laz Rojas's holomatch bots. I *borrowed* the head textures, struggled (as you can see in the skinning help forum), and succeeded.

ok Wink Maybe you should take the link away until you actually do get the permission?

I asked permission before we used them in VVS8 (virtual voyager series 8 ) and it will be some my work, some Laz Rojaz work.

I'd still credit Laz Rojas for creating the base skin though.

Of course, I'm just wondering if this means I don't have to ask for permission because it's already given. I emailed him yesterday, but still haven't gotten a response. Come to think of it, I emailed him a long time ago about something else and he never got back to me.

In a way, it's a good thing I don't have the link posted. Later on I found lots of oversights like Foster's hands being white instead of black, and Chell's hands being white instead of blue. I made my own blue hands, and then later discovered Laz Rojas had done it already. Oh well, one less thing I need to ask permission to use.

I think I saw somewhere that he was giving up skinning until EF2, his site has not been updated in a month

Yes, but I would think he still checks his email. (Although by the looks of things he doesn't :-( )

No it doesn't mean that you have permission already, that sort of miss understanding has lead to serious problems in the past.

He's been getting lots of spam recently, it may take a while.

Nope, you should check his forums and you'll see there is a thread about that.

Good news. I have just received permission from Laz Rojas. He recommends I use his head model, so I will look into that before releasing the mod.

edit: mod has been released; link is in first message of thread.

You know, Laz Rojaz actually released the hazard team in regular uniforms in his zpak's - zpak2 I think. (Sorry, but you werent the first to do this)

I did it myself for a couple of times.

I think he should make a 6th Z-Pak with all the spawnable objects in all the other Z-Paks so that you might have hundreds of spawnable objects
and a list that you can print which lists all the spawnable objects

does anyone else think so

Yeah, I looked at that. It doesn't actually replace the hazard team uniforms though. It just creates spawnable hazard team characters in regular uniforms. My mod actually replaces the default characters.

BTW Carlos: zpak5 already contains all the spawnable objects from the previous zpaks.

I didn't know that, didn't it say somewhere that the 5th Zpak had different spawnable objects, how did you find out (where did you get the info)
