Ever seen ST 2?

If not, then I shall explain it to you. It's a starfleet training program (to be a captain) that is impossible to win. It's supposed to teach you how to face death. All acadamy students take it.

A Starfleet Academy training exercise in which command-track cadets were presented with a "no-win" scenario as a test of character. The simulation involved a distress call from a Federation freighter, the Kobayashi Maru, which had struck a gravitic mine in the Klingon Neutral Zone. The cadet had a choice of several options, none of which led to a "winning" conclusion, in that is was impossible to simultaneously save the freighter, prevent the destruction of the cadet's ship, and avoid an armed exchange wit hthe Klingons. The Kobayashi Maru was regarded as something of a rite of passage for command-track cadets. James T. Kirk was reputed to have taken the test three times while he was at the academy. Prior to his third attempt, Kirk surreptitiously reprogrammed the simulation computer to make it possible to beat the simulation, and subsequently received a commendation for original thinking.

All students do NOT take it. Only cadets studying for command division. Munro is in command division, as can be seen in my MOD, as well as in the Hazard Team locker room.

All officers take it. Bashir did, and he's not on the command track.

A classic example of the writers not checking with the tech advisers.

if you actualy Want to Try out The Kobayashi Maru, Go See if you can find a copy of Star Fleet Academy. Which I dont know if that game was set before, or after the old TOS Movies. But it looks like it was after. The Events Are the same as what scooter said. But you have the choice Before you go into the sim to Cheat or not, because he found Kirks little cheat program Happy. If you use the program tell me what happend. cuz i forgot what happens if you use it. Then you have the choice of Either Going to The Neutral Zone To save the crew, or not. which of not he Just ignores the Transmition and stuff.

I've played that. It was like an old version of Bridge Commander (which it essentially is). However, it was pretty rubbish some of it, the early parts, and the quick battle. It's not mine so I never finished it. Liked the 3D bridge though. It looked better than BC in some respects since it had animated real people that fitted into the bridge perfectly.

I played BC the other day. It is good. I don't get to play it often because it doesn't work on my computer so I have to wait until my brothers are not on the other computer where it is installed.
