They already have DVD writers that can hold a few gigabytes each disc. They are also experimenting with different color lasers. Apparently red, green, and blue lasers can make the same discs hold different amounts. I read that in Popular Science, but I don't know which one because it wasn't my magazine. It belonged to my physics teacher and I was reading it after an exam. He would let us read his magazines when we were finished.

(There, I think that takes care of all Carlos's possible questions. Wink )

Most (well, some) PC games nowadaya come on 2, 3, or more discs so it fits all the data. A quite old (but brilliant) game of mine: Freespace2, came on 3 discs. The game was brilliant, best space sim ever IMO.

Yeah most games don't even take up the 700mb. and they already have a gigabyte cd but it is still in testing stage. it was in popular science maybe a year ago.

No, discussing Formats means you tell people what you know, and you give opinions on it. And you share that information and any other stuff about it you know. So Manhunter, him asking was a legitimate question.

Anybody got a dvd burner? those are supposed to be really slow. And now those cd burner speeds, they're like 25x burn speed. I only have an 8x speed and thats good enough for me.
