In preparation for another year at Arizona State, I am moving out to an apartment on campus. So if you guys don't see me for a week or 2, that's where I'll be. Till then...

Well, I am here again, but in a different place. Umm....yea. Grin

I spent 2 and a half days moving in. We're on the 8th, and top, floor of this apartment building. My roomate and I set up a very elaborate sound system from scratch. We can turn on the radio and focus the music wherever we want, i.e. the kitchen, the TV entertainment "circle", the eating table, and even the bathroom (so we can listen to music in the shower Na na! ).

Now talk about the lighting. We have three "moods" that we can implement in our living room. The first is the "regular", which is the built-in white lighting. But then we move to the cool lighting. We have our "relaxed" mood, which is implemented by a set of blue strip lights aimed at the roof and a set of 3 blue ceiling lights aimed stratigically around the room. The last mood is the "party" mood. For this, the blue strips change to red, a red strobe light starts flashing behind the grill of a Dodge Ram hanging on the wall, a red LED strip poised behind Corona bottles on top of the fridge lights up, and a red rotating police beacon starts revolving on top of the TV.

Of course, we also have a variety of misc. lights too. We have a regular white strobe poised under the couch to cover the open space of the living room, and a white rope light circling the cricumference of the entry-way to the kitchen.

All of these lights can of course be interchanged to provide a variety of moods by blending the existing ones. All in all a cool room. Perhaps I'll post some pics.

Hmmm, just had a thought. Was the purpose of moving here for school? Na na!

A guy of course. He's actually my best friend, strategically chosen to ensure that I didn't get stuck with a pot head. However, we made a bet with some girls living in another building that our room would be cooler than theirs. Whoever won the bet were to be taken out to dinner and other entertainment by the losers. We won of course but to be nice, we offered to take them out anyway.

College is SO fun. I'm really glad I'm back in it. Wink

If you asked nicely they might, but lets not hope if you do they'll say, you like Star Trek? Pathetic. CYA, and not talk to you again.

Nah, that wouldn't happen.

Did anyone understand that???
