It was good. We visited all the major parks, Disney was good, except Magic Kingdom (it was too kiddy). Kennedy Space Center was excellent, the "Up Close Tour" was amazing. Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure were fun, especially the rollercoasters and water rides.

On the plane ride home, just after take-off, out of the window next to me, we saw the launch of a rocket from Kennedy Space Center and you could see the largest building in the USA, the "Vehicle Assembly Building".

I'll say more about it later, but I'm hungry now and its time for dinner.

Yeah the gator in Kennedy space center is called "elvis" (well at least thats what the locals call him) he is a 50 year old gator and has lived on the center since it was established.

I love that "behind the scenes tour" its been a while since ive been to Kennedy though.

No. Just a rocket from the window of the plane. Still good though.

I would think that seeing a rocket launch from a plane in the air would be a most spectacular view.

BTW, did you see the Saturn 5 rocket laying on it's side in the grass? Or the field where all different kinds of rockets are standing upright? (I went when I was like 10 and those 2 things as well as the VAB are all that I can rememeber).

Well it was VERY small looking.

And yes, we did see them, and walked along that Apollo 11 gangtry walkway thing that they walked along to get in the rocket (Recovered AND Restored).

Actually I think the module that is at the end of the gangway is a recreation. You're talking about the one sitting on the ground right?

The apollo 11 command module is in the National air and space museum in washington DC. At least the little text in the museum said it was the original.

The module was a recreation I think, but it was the ACTUAL orange walkway.

Well i guess it's ok to bump now, welcome back simmo!

BTW, at my cousins house there was a "Croc-o-thon" on the channel "Animal Planet" and we sat there for quite a while watching these weird shows of "The Crocodile Hunter" It's perfect, Education and Comedy in one show! It's actually supposed to be Education but the Australlian Host is so funny when he picks up venomess snakes and all that. *Steve Erwin picks up a snake* "Oh, now this ones grumpy, oh he's really grumpy." he always says that (he's australlian) but then once he shows you the snake then after... "... allright i'm going to put you down now, there we go, alright now thats a <snake name> snake..." now his favorite line "...AND I LOVE EM'

You gotta watch it (The Crocodile Hunter)

would you say it's funnier than the shows, same funniness as the shows, or not as funny as the shows?
