well money makes the world go round, i work in the afternoons after school in a drinks store, carrying crates arround the place, fairly boring, but MONEY LOL!

any way i think a single courency is a great idea even if in all euro countries the prices have gone up (so has inflation... Wah! ) but i think that will setle when the econamy get back on track... so in a thousand years Na na! Na na! Wink

while the idea of a global currency is very promising towards world peace(among other things).
But as promising as this sounds it is (at the moment) impossible! One of the many reasons is because a good amount of countries are still on the gold standard. Which in turn makes it incompatable with those countries that are off it.

Money sucks, but it makes the world go round.

well obviousely it isnt possible now, but like the euro, there should be sertain thiings every country must have/do te become a €uro state.

i think for now all the industrial states, could start thinking about a single courancy.....

the us would obviously be the last country to join, as the kinda love the $ more than anything Na na! What ever!

lol, like the American accents huh?

Yes, some people over here call soda 'pop'.

lol, a few years ago, I went to Lake Tahoe. We were in a parking lot. Ahead of us there was a guy waiting in the street in his car for someone who was getting in their car (so he could take their spot) just as anyone would do. Well, apparently people don't do that in the UK because there was an English couple in a van right behind him that were really angry at him for doing that. They were both leaning out the window screaming obscenities at him. The funny part is that no one there knew what half of them meant.

Well...that was funny to me at least. Eek!ops:

They were probably just angry at him for being in their way, because we do that in Ireland too and no-one gives a damm.

Doesn't change the fact that you are taking stuff that doesn't belong to you - i.e. stealing Na na!

if they forget or leave the money, it belongs to the person who finds the money in the machine

Money is good. Not only can you get nice stuff for yourself, but you can also help other people out by donating to charity or giving it to the church.

I get money by fixing people's computers. Of course I do a good job, so I usually don't have much work to do.

I would like to see everyone using one currency (and it won't be the Canadian dollar, Carlos). The guy who made the euro dollar is working on something for North America right now. He's been at it for a long time. I don't know much about it. I am mad at the United States. I tried to buy a chocolate bar that isn't available in Canada and the guy says, "We don't take Canadian money." And that made me mad because in Canada we take American money.

yeah, thats not fair. But since american money is worth twice as much as canadian money it makes sense Happy (to the canadian business owners at least)

yeah I went up to canada and I got really confused trying to figure out why everything was cheaper, but not half of the canadian price Happy

Their prices were like 7 or 8 dollars for a sandwich. That's the same as up here. When you do the currency conversion, it ends up being more than 10 dollars. Denny's prices are 7 dollars or less for most things.

How to do a rough conversion from American dollars to Canadian dollars:
CDN$ = US$/2 + US$
or
CDN$ = US$ * 1.5
