Well, after catching up on all my reading, it's time for an update on the mod!

Here is a screenshot Dobberman posted last night on the chat.

It's the corridor just outside the transporter control room on deck 34. Hey Dobber, since when are you doing deck 34? Also, the blue carpet is still the wrong color. I thought we settled that matter a long time ago.

The carpet's just not scaled right, and the colour was taken straight from the show so Na na!

Most of the pics on stinsv are bad quality and taken from earlier series' when it was differant.

It looks good, I can't wait for it to come out. Are you going to have any holodeck missions in VE?

Hi! Welcome to the boards! Happy

Not in the first release though, but a holodeck and some simulations will be in the second release. You can even leave the holodeck while a program is running because you don't change maps when you run a program.

I think he means the idea of leaving the holodeck with the program still active is a good idea, as that is what I meant.

Well, That is a name I use often also. I mean my whole Internet name "Logalot" was originally Sir Logalot, and then I changed the suffix/prefiz depending on what boards I was on. Now I just use Logalot.(Because I'm to lazy to think of a name for every board I am at) Na na!

welcome to the boards

an idea to make the holodeck doors invisible, use the Stasis doors in the stasis levels, but start it as invisible and it appears as a holodeck door when you get close, then it opens like the regular holodeck doors and you can go through

But then you would get the stasis effect when the door appeared, either that or the mod gets even more delayed because Dobber would have to make new animation for it. I think it would be fine to leave the entire arch and not have it disappear.

Well he should hide the arch down an alleyway, or behind a tree or something like that (out of sight) depending on the type of program.

Yeah, I can't use the stasis effect because it's hard coded for that particular door, if you walk up to it, it would turn into a stasis door. I was planing on hiding it or just keeping it in a neat place.

Dobber, me curious, how do you script that you enter an empty holodeck, load a program and then leave through the door ending up in the corridor through which you came?
Doesn't that mean creating a script which moves the brushes (a func_wall entity).

It seems very difficult to me.

he probably has the program running in the holodeck when you walk through the door, or probably transports you to the location on the map where the holodeck program is running when you walk through the door

No carlos if I did that it would be obvious to the people playing that you were transported. It's not that hard HorckDude, I've already got a working prototype!
