What class should the ERP ship be? A few places to look at classes would be

http://www.fedplace.de/st.shtml

and

http://neutralzone.future.easyspace.com/indexfra.htm

Or whatever place you would like to look, but we need some pictures to go along. Ideas are welcome, so get em in!

Well, my favorite class is a Akira class ship. But that would be way too big to map. So, my second choice is a Sabre class. I like that ship, its pretty. Third choice is miranda class.

So, I choose Sabre.

Akira is my fave.
Saber, yeah I like that too.
Miranda, too old in my opinion.
Type 6 Shuttle, brilliant idea!
Steamrunner, its an idea.
Norway, another idea.

Passenger Carrying Capability

Type 6: 6
Type 7: 6
Type 8: 6
Type 9: 4-6
Type 10: 1-4
Type 15: 2
Type 15A: 2
Type 16: 2
Type 18: 1-4

We could have a few people, but not move.

And I really dont think we'd use a shuttle, although we could include one in a shuttlebay.

Danube-class runabout is good size, but might not be enough things to do in RP.

SABER SABER SABER.............we could have a shuttle in the shuttlebay......runabout....R U kidding.....a runabout is slightly bigger than the DF....it has quarters for two-three..a replicator....and a small warpcore........couldnt RP....though....you could beam into one that orbits the ship..........And we should have double(panel opened) airlocks that allow you to fight on the hull......

you could have a small piece of hull outside an airlock, so you can go on the outside of the airlock

1.Its in the movies
2.Its fun. What you do is lower grav to make it seem real
3. You could be able to beam to a runabout
4. its a SMALL ship so it should have hull fighting
5. look at D2 that map is HUGE and it still has lots of hull fighting

I feel it's to late to post! LOL! But I think Nebula Class is the best ship ever made plus since most of us are peaceful the Nebula is involved mostly in Scientific missions.

BTW, ERP stands for Elite Force Role Playing? Na na!

Well, Sabre did seem too be a good choice, but, as Dogbert pointed out, A Nebula class or similar is more suited for peaceful missions. I was also looking at Sentinel class, if anyone wants to check that out. It's at Fedplace, not sure about Neutral Zone.

Neutral Zone:

EDIT: The Sentinel Class is not canon, and I think a canon ship would be better. A Nebula class has a bridge that we have already seen (TNG: Redemption Part 2 Huh? ), so theres a reference, as well as a ready room we've seen too (TNG: That ep where they capture the USS Phoenix)

This is starting to turn into a thoretical grammatic usage topic, so let's steer on course Wink Anyway, I would actually rather have a ship that is not well documented when it comes to the interior, that way, we can make it anyway we want instead of following the standards set by appearences of the ship on TV/Movies.

Miranda: too old
Excelsior: too old
Constellation: too old
Freedom: a possibility, but it does look a bit daft
Niagara: a possibility, although it does use some older parts
Norway: not my taste, but others might like it
Steamrunner: again, not my taste, but I think somebody else suggested it
Sovereign: better than Norway or Steamrunner IMHO

As for Bernd's design, I'm not much for non-canon stuff. They usually look daft, but the are the most flexible as far as interior goes.

LOL, we've already got a Nova class starship (Serenity), I dont think the two ships should be the same type.

Miranda, Constellation, Excelsior: They're all old.

Freedom, nice suggestion.

Niagra, a bit odd but another good suggestion.

Norway, I dont like that idea as much.

Steamrunner, ok idea.

Sovereign, hard to get canon, and we know too much about the inside already.

someone wrote that...........hello.......YOU NEED two naccells to maintain a stable warp feild. BUT if you have four nacells it will work as LONG as they are each 50% in line with the ship. Thus creating a stable warp feild. That is why the niagra is a good idea. And WTF r u smoking...this is the freedom

The inside of the Nebula class will look a lot like the Galaxy class. Considering how long it's taking Dobberman to do the Ent-D, you might want to reconsider.

Manhunter, you're not part of P:ER, so your vote shouldnt count, and that makes it level pegging between the Steamrunner and Niagra.

Manhunter IS part of E:RP, but we haven't gotten around to putting it up on the site yet. His vote counts. Oh, and Let's say the voting ends at 9:00 ET Today.

Cool, a steamrunner class. I like that ship. Anyways, we still don't even have an "official" mapper, don't you think you're getting just a little ahead of yourself? (referring to Logalot)

Well, yes, Sam Bickely is doing the mapping, don't know if you know him or not, he's on MSN a lot and also RPs with us. He seems to be the "official" mappe for the moment, and he's doing a great job! He gave me a preliminary map for the bridge, I can e-mail it to you if you want, Luke.

Yeah, sure. I think he sent me the bare-bones copy. But I think he's updated it since then. You got my e-mail.

Im not sure if a shuttle would be called USS crusader
this is how its designated for shuttles
ship name/shuttlecraft number/shuttle name
eg.
Enterprise E/07/Crusader
of course, that was the designation version seen in tng, not sure about nemesis
