I just had another first-time experience: getting stuck in the elevator. Oh, you gotta love that, sitting in a hot elevator that's stuck between the 3rd and 4th floors for half an hour. Not only that but there were like 5 people and 2 bikes in there too. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know, the elevator rose just fine to the 4th floor, then started shaking, lurched, then dropped about 3 feet. Then it stayed there for about half an hour. Of course the emergengy phone didn't work, or at least, no one responded. So we hung out in the packed elevator for half an hour until it lurched back into motion where it stopped on the 4th floor, where I got off and carried my bike the rest of the way up the stairs to the 8th floor. Such fun! Grrr!

Yea, but they get all pissed off when people use it. It's supposedly more dangerous to climb around in the shaft than to wait in the elevator. Crazy people. Na na!

If the elevators at my school broke down, nobody would notice because they always take forever to get to the floor you're on. Don't know why that is because they're faster than the average elevator.

So the rescue workers can come to you if they have to. They just don't want people in the shafts unless there's no other choice, especially if they aren't trained to do so.

This topic reminds me of a Volkwagen ad. The subject is properly punctuated.

Since you said that the lift started moving again itself, I think it would be pretty dangerous if you climbed up out of that hatch then it started moving again.
