BOTH CREWS! TAKE PART! THATS AN ORDER!

Dobberman, Kamakazie, Carlos, Skywalker, Chapman (if you read this), LeprechaunTrekker, you are all free to take part. ALL of you are on the Columbia.

Serenity crew don't worry, if their posts are stupid they will be deleted, but my idea will be better if we have 2 crews.

Vanhal, I've got something planned for you too, ask me in a PM if you want to know what I'm planning. Actually Vanhal, I dont know if you actually read this, so just post "I've read this" if you've read it, and I'll send a PM explaining my idea.

The problem is you took too much of the story in your own post. Straight away we were ready to leave, and it was still a day until we were read, basically.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ON:

<USS Serenity Bridge>

Simmo walks out of his ready room onto the bridge. He stopped and looked around at the crew, a custom of his from any mission.

Simmo: Are we ready?

Scooter: We're making final preparations now.

Simmo: Good.

Daniels: Propulsions systems ready. We're ready to leave.

Waterbury (Ops): Structural integrity field online. The starbase has cleared us for departure.

Simmo: Good. Mr Daniels, take us out.

Daniels: Aye.

*Ship leaves dock*

Waterbury: We have cleared spacedoors.

Simmo: Helm, plot course for Uarus 4. Warp 5.

Daniels: Aye, course laid in.

Simmo: Engage!

OFF:
We're on our way. Any Columbia crew going to post?

Fine. Just try to space out the lines in it and add spaces after it identifies who speaks.

For Example:
Simmo: "Notice the space between Simmo and the speech."

This warp core dilemma with the Waverider could be a good mechanism for the time travel thing after we rendezvous with the Columbia.

Haha, I can just imagine Captain Carlos and Cadet Carlos.
Cadet Carlos: "Who are you?"
Captain Carlos: "I'm you in the future."
Cadet Carlos: "That's not funny."
Captain Carlos: "I am 27, no younger."
Cadet Carlos: "I am 26, no younger."
Captain Carlos: "Join the Virtual Game, pick Columbia or Serenity. I recommend Columbia."
Cadet Carlos: "What is Columbia or Serenity? The only ship in the Virtual Game is the 10to5."

I could go on, but you get the idea. Na na!

Well, here's what I did. I removed Crusader's post. I want the departments to carry out the tasks I posted in my last post in the VG. Either me or Scooter will post us going back in time. (Scooter, since you are the first officer you do deserve some responsibility, just dont take us back yet, do some tasks and make it come out of nowhere, and have some creativity on how to do it, involving the Waverider core as a cause).

Yea, we don't use Victor or Clarence either, cause then we get into a situation like this:

ON:

*Commander Roger walked up to the con, where Lt. Victor was piloting and Ensign Clarence was navigating.

Roger: "Change course to match the Columbia's. Make sure we have clearance Clarence."

Clarence: "Surely you can't be serious!"

Roger: "I am serious, and don't call me Shirley."

Roger: "Set the vector Victor."

Victor: Rodger Roger."

Isn't that the idea of a Role Playing Sim. My idea of a role playing sim would be a game in-which you play a fictional character. I kind of don't understand why fictional biographies would be frowned upon when they add depths to characters. And add more to the sim by giveing the other players more information about other characters in the game.

There's nothing wrong with developing a biography for your character, but unusual things like being an ex-Borg are to be discouraged because the probability is less than 1%.

Ok I made some changes to the biography. My idea wasn't to more or less show that my character was Borg, but to tell about his medical treatment and the Micro Chips used to help his memory.

And just so everyone knows William can not upload information to the chip, only the techs that designed the chip can. Anything else has to either be seen or heard by William for him to remember it. Kind of like a Photographic memory. I need to put that on his profile. lol

er garrets, in starfleet the highest rank holds command, i wouldnt put a first year cadet (i know youve had advanced training) in charge of 4 other crewman, usually the most experianced crewman would be in charge

Actually, it does make sense, though it rarely happens, for a cadet to be in charge of crewmen, because while the crewmen have more practical experience, the cadet is a commissioned officer whereas the crewmen are enlisted officers so the cadet actually outranks them. That list you posted wasn't quite right.

Here's the chain of command from top to bottom:
Fleet Admiral
Admiral
Vice Admiral
Rear Admiral
Commodore
Fleet Captain
Captain
Commander
Lieutenant Commander
Lieutenant
Lieutenant Junior Grade
Ensign
Cadet 4th Year
Cadet 3rd Year
Cadet 2nd Year
Cadet 1st Year

After that comes enlisted crew. There's two different methods on how to do this. The one we're using in VG is the one Simmo uses because he's in Tango Fleet which has all the enlisted ranks you would expect. The other method is the one I personally prefer, which is based on the fact that Gene Roddenberry said there were no enlisted ranks in Starfleet, which makes all non-pippers just plain old "crewmen".

And I won't even get into the half-pippers. What ever!

Actually, the NCO's (Non Commisioned Officers) outrank the cadets. Anyone from Crewman (not Crewman Apprentice or Crewman Recruit) up to Master Chief Petty Officer of Starfleet outranks a cadet.

Reference: Chief O'Brien outranked Cadet Nog in DS9. When Nog became an Ensign, Nog outranked O'Brien.

About 10 years I'd say. It'd need to be that much for me to go from Lieutenant to Commodore, and Sporto from cadet to Commander, trying to make it seem realistic.

Ok, maybe that was manhunter. I get you two confused sometimes. Na na!

I sent Solan to Stellar Cartography to figure out if there was anything interesting in our path. Since you're the navigation officer, you'd know what path we took, so you could go down and help them. Even use Solan as an NPC since no one else is going to do it.

ADDITION AFTER EDIT: Wow, the science lab is really taking a beating this mission. Grin

If the particles have merged with the science lab computers, somebody had better isolate them quick before it spreads throughout the ship.

Manhunter! Your last post in the mission is a comment! Muhahaha

Just because you put it as ON doesn't mean it's part of the story.

The reason I sent everyone back is because you can't just storm in there with an assault team and change history. Even if we thought the timeline would correct itself, we have no business interfering more than we already have. Don't start huffing because I rained on your parade.

Ok, it's like totally screwed up now. Scooter wasn't even on the Serenity and if he was, he knew about the mutiny, why would he deliberatly change history? Since I have no Idea what happened because everything seems to contradict each other and no-one seems to have said what exactly happened, I don't think I can write anything. Could we nulify what happened?

No! I mean future Scooter, he was on the 10to5 not on the Serenity, so how could he order an attack squad or whatever.

Well you are wrong because Simmo and I are good friends. What I was hinting at was that it's easier to stop the fighting by making so that it never happened instead of trying to come up with a counteractive solution.

And as for you and Dogbert, Simmo told you to help out in whatever area. This is a chance to develop your character and maybe even learn some new skills. There's more to life on a starship than just doing your work too.

Scooter's right. It was easier to just stop it like that. However, I'm sorry there's little for Security to do. Next mission, as you'll be pleased to hear, is our more active, fighting mission! (Suggestions for what exactly it is can be sent to me in a pm).

If you cant think of something YOUR character can do, control an NPC for a while. It'll give you a change of scenery. For example, Manhunter, you could take control of one of those Security NPC's on the away team (Travis or Hoffman).

Dogbert, if you can think of something to do in sickbay, do it. However, you may also want to think of controlling an NPC on the away team (maybe the engineer Underhill).

Also, Garrets, I doubt the security man could see something moving 140 kilometers away, thats a long way, and he wont have such good eyesight.

I have to agree with Dogbert. It added nothing to the story, and Crusader was right there to help you bring Dobberman to the brig. You didn't need to call Travis.

You complain there's nothing to do. Suddenly there's something for you to do and you only write two lines. You've got to put more into it and use characters that are right there before adding extras.

He has got better things to do then drag people to the brig might as well call one of the people who accually work in the brig and who is exsperienced with that.

Travis could be the one who watches Dobberman while he's in the brig (which doesnt have a replicator so he cant blow himself out again).

I've got an idea. When the timeline gets restored, Dobberman finds himself back on the 10to5. Maybe we should have it so that from the 10to5's perspective everything happened as it did in mission 1 but the Serenity and Columbia crews remember everything. We don't have to do it that way though.
