Since we all can't wait to walk around on the Enterprise-D, why should we?

In an effort to boost morale, and maybe even inspire Dobberman, every weekend I'm going to post a virtual tour of an area on the Enterprise-D.

This week, to start things off, I'm going to post three tours! They'll only be up for a week, and then I delete them and post a new one, because they take up a lot of webspace. (I only have 11MB left right now!)

This week's virtual tour: (Quicktime required!)
Main Bridge
Ready Room
Conference Lounge

I dunno.

EDIT: Doesn't say anywhere that I can't do it, but I'm going to edit the first message and include a disclaimer.

You might want to include Paramount.

Thats why! When I pressed "Save Target As" in where it says "File type" it said pk3 file.

And then, it says the file went from 13meg to 1meg.

If you've got Quicktime, you should be able to just click on it with left mouse button and it'll load a new window with the virtual tour.

I have my own virtual online starship. It is not your typical RPG either. People literally can move around the ship, interact with each other, and interact with the computers. It uses the palace software, and there is a downloadable copy at the Enterprise Palace's website. In addition, there is a direct link to the enterprise once you have downloaded and installed the program.

Here is the link:
www.enterprisepalace.8m.com

I highly recommend that anyone who likes Star Trek check this out. It is truly the first of its kind! There is nothing on the net quite like it.

In reply to Commander Luke, yes, it is low tech if you were expecting 3-D graphics and a game somewhat like a combination of Bridge Commander and Elite Force. Such has not yet been done and most likely won't be in the near future. It is a 2-D interface. People are assigned their own little character, and you can move around by clicking. There are doors between the rooms and other basic functions included in the palace software. If you have used it before, however, and seen this, you would be able to know that this palace is unlike any created before. It is truly unique (once again, the first of its kind). I have heard only good feedback from people who go see it, so don't knock it until you try it! You may actually like it!

To Scooter: did you download it from the link at the base of the home page and then click on the designated link on the same page? If that doesn't work goto (in the software) file, connect to a palace, and in the big box type in "Freepalace.palisola.com" (minus quotes). In the Small box next to it type in "4656" (also minus quotes).

If the above doesn't work then do what Carlos_technology said.

I hope to see you onboard!

Captain Firedrake

(P.S. Tried to register and it won't let me log in and now it won't let me use my name as guest so I had to change it a little)

I'm in now. Oh, and you can ignore Carlos. He likes to state the obvious.

EDIT: I see pictures from Dobberman's mod. Did he give you permission?

Yes, as long as I give credit which I intend to. I haven't gotten around to adding a thing to the site. Something along the lines of a page labeled "Special Thanks to..." And his name will go on there. Its going to be a loooong list because I have had a lot of help.

I know it's only been 6 days, but I think I'm going to put up the next morale booster now.

Supposed to be doing homework today, but I have to wait for someone else to switch a database before I can do much more.
