I am happy to announce a new addition to my list of semi-canon StarTrek resources.

http://techspecs.acalltoduty.com/

It's a support site for an RPG group. They're endorsed by Paramount, they've got brilliant writers, and they do excellent research! Thanks to Dexus for pointing me in their direction. I found some errors with their Nova class info, and I've been in touch with the project lead. Together we're working on fixing the mistakes. These guys really know their stuff. He even found errors in my corrections, wow!

Here is my complete list:

Hmm... quite a lot of stuff there. A bit hard to look thru, but a good picture resource.

Update on techspecs.acalltoduty.com:
I'm still in talks with the project lead regarding the Nova class. We've resolved that the Waverider is not warp capable. We've conceded that the shuttlecraft complement can vary from ship to ship, so while they list 2 type-9 shuttles (which are actually type-12), we have two type-8 shuttles which makes more sense according to the MSD. It was funny, he didn't even know about the Type-9/Type-12 mishap. I guess it depends how much of a purist you are when it comes to being canon.

As for deck layout (appendix C), we're still talking this one over. They've got a lot of stuff in the wrong place. As soon as we resolve these issues, they're going to update their specs, and I think they're even going to link to us! Once everything is fixed, I'll get Simmo to post a direct link to the specs with a small note of the differences regarding our shuttles.

One thing about how our Nova is different from the others, ours was upgraded to go Warp 9, where the normal Nova can only go Warp 8.

According to these guys, it's actually impossible for the Nova to go any faster than Warp 8 because of the small size of its warp core and nacelles, and they know what they're talking about.

Defiant is smaller in size, and has smaller nacelles, and goes faster than that. Besides, in the upgrade the core was made larger sacrificing space, and the nacelles while still the same size have been optimized for faster travel.

There isn't much space to sacrifice, but ok if you say so. If you want it to go Warp 9 I'm not going to argue with you. Just thought I'd point out why it's only Warp 8. Grin
